Visiting The Ark

The Ark Nature Centre is located at the junction between Pohjoispuisto and Länsipuisto in the former Pori telephone company building.


The museum's permanent exhibition, Satakunta, highlights the coastal areas of Satakunta and the Kokemäenjoki River. The Ark explores the ecology and natural environment of the Satakunta region, offering rich experiences for nature enthusiasts and all lovers of nature.

The Ark holds temporary exhibitions in its changing exhibitions hall, and also organizes lectures and events in co-operation with all kinds of environmental societies. The auditorium is available for meetings and events. At the museum shop you can find soft toys, beeswax candles, cosmetics and other gift items.

Guided tour

You can pre-book a Finnish or English-language guided tour.
Prices: Finnish 50 € / 45 minutes, English 70 € / 45 minutes.

After 16.15 and at weekends: Finnish 80 € / 45 minutes, English 100 € / 45 minutes.

Please notice that we are going to charge an additional opening and upkeep charge of 30 € for latenight visits.
