Pori Centre for Children’s Culture - the Network of Children’s Culture in Satakunta produces programmes, performances and workshops for children of all ages and their families. Examples of the Centre’s activity are the Experiential Colour Workshops for Babies that are held weekly and monthly all-year-round, as well as the group workshops for day-care children and school classes. In addition to the workshops, Pori Centre for Children’s Culture also arranges seminars, exhibitions and education for adults.

The main aim of the Centre’s activity is to build and develop the identity of children and youth. The key areas of operation of the Centre can be divided to four different categories: creating and developing networks of co-operation; developing working methods based on culture, art and art pedagogy; promoting research into children’s culture and utilising the results in a beneficial manner; as well as promoting children’s culture in general.

Pori Centre for Children’s Culture is part of the culture department of the city of Pori as well as the Union of the Centres for Children’s Culture of Finland.
