The Island of Kirjurinluoto

The islet of Kirjuri is known to a wide audience as the scene of the international jazz festival held there every summer. Yet to the people of Pori it means more than music: "Kirjuri" is a free-time oasis where you will find a sandy beach, the children's playgrounds of Pelle Hermanni the clown and Kolme Karhua ("The Three Bears"), a pirate ship for kids (in dry dock!) and a summer restaurant. Pori's "Kirjuri" also has facilities for the physically disabled.
