In the city centre area parking is mainly chargeable.
Time limited parking areas that require a parking disc are marked with signs. Parking and stopping in the pedestrian street is prohibited.
Compliance with parking rules and regulations is jointly controlled by the municipal parking control and the police.
In the Pori city centre parking requires a fee on weekdays from 8 am to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 8 am to 4 pm. On Sundays, the parking is free.
The inner city is divided into three parking zones and the parking fees are:
Zone 1: 2 € per hour
Zone 2: 1,5 € per hour
Zone 3: 1 € per hour
In automated ticket machines you can pay parking also by debit card, credit card or Visa Electron and with contactless payment. The combination card payments will be charged by credit card. The automated ticket machines are marked on the map.

If a car is parked contrary to regulations, a parking fine is either given to the driver of the vehicle or attached to the vehicle in a visible place. The amount of a parking fine in Pori is 50 euros.
The parking fine must be paid within 30 days of the date of issue. The fine can be paid directly to Porina Service Point or to a bank. When paying the fine, the reference number must be used. If a fine is not paid by its due date, the amount of the fine will be increased by 14 euros.
APPEAL TO A PARKING FINE
If you consider the decision on the parking fine unjustified, you may submit a written appeal to the traffic warden. The appeal must be made within 30 days from the date of the decision.
The appeal must contain the name, address and bank account number of the person making the appeal, license plate number of the vehicle and the case number of the parking fine. An explanation of the reasons behind the appeal and all documentation to which you refer must also be included.
Making an appeal does not extend the payment time, which means that the fine must nevertheless be paid within 30 days of the date the parking fine is given. If the appeal is accepted, the paid sum will be returned to the payer.
The appeal can be submitted to Porina Service Point by mail, in person or by e-mail to email@example.com . The decision of the appeal will be sent to the customer only in Finnish.
