The City of Pori has allocated 60 000 euros to With Love to the Citizens of Pori participatory budgeting. The budget will be used implement residents’ ideas for increasing encounters between people. How would you increase opportunities for meeting each other among the residents of Pori? The idea submission is now open online, and at all Pori libraries starting from January 15.

The final Pay What You Want Day of the year will be held on Wednesday, 10 December. The programme includes Christmassy and winter-themed activities such as crafting Christmas decorations from recycled materials, exploring the Elves exhibition, and taking a dip in the cold water at the outdoor swimming pool.

Kävelykatu city promenade turns 50 in 2027 – and we want to hear your ideas on how to celebrate!

Pori’s city promenade Kävelykatu will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2027. The anniversary year is a shared opportunity for the city, local entrepreneurs and residents to highlight the promenade and its potential. All citizens are invited to help plan the well-deserved celebration, either via a newly opened online survey or in person during the Taiteiden Yö (night of the arts) on Saturday, August 16.

SuomiAreena has a great variety of events in English

SuomiAreena is the largest societal discussion festival in Finland, and it takes place in Pori every year. The purpose of the festival is to invite and allow everyone to get their voices heard by participating in discussions of social, economic and political issues. Both residents and authorities will get to test their crisis resilience in the Itätuuli25 preparedness exercise

The Finnish Red Cross Satakunta District, Satakunta Wellbeing Services County, and the City of Pori, together with third-sector organizations, are organizing a joint evacuation drill on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Itätuuli Learning and Sports Center. The purpose of the exercise is to test multidisciplinary cooperation in a disruption situation and provide citizens with information on various preparedness themes. The evacuation centre is open for visitors and from 10.30AM to 2PM. Welcome!
