Information session for custodians of applicants to the general upper secondary education in English will be held on February 2nd
English-language upper secondary school programme will begin at Porin lukio in August 2026. The programme is for students who do not have sufficient understanding of Finnish language to follow teaching in Finnish. Information session will be held for custodians on February 2nd at 6 p.m. both online and at Porin lukio.
In August 2026, an English-language upper secondary school program will begin at Porin lukio. The students will pass the national matriculation examination in English at the end of their studies. The study program is intended for students who do not have sufficient command in Finnish language to follow tuition in Finnish. In practice, applicants may have studied in Finnish comprehensive schools for a maximum of three years.
The information session will be held as a hybrid event on Teams and on site at the upper secondary school in (address Tasavallankatu 4) on February 2, 2026, at 6 p.m. Entrance is arranged through door E1 and you will find the Teams link here.
