New season of the Youth Pass has begun – free leisure benefits for young people
The popular Youth Pass provides lower secondary school students with a wide range of free leisure benefits. Pupils in grades 5–6 can also enjoy a swimming benefit, giving them 43 free entries to Pori’s swimming halls. This season, the Youth Pass offers not only swimming benefits but also a variety of cultural benefits and courses at the Adult Education Centre, among other opportunities.
The Youth Pass (Nuorisopassi in Finnish) provides free leisure benefits for children and young people in grades 5–9 living in Pori. Pupils in grades 5–6 are entitled to a swimming benefit (43 free entries to the city’s swimming halls), while students in grades 7–9 can access the full range of Youth Pass benefits.
The benefits are valid throughout the 2026–2027 school year, with the exception of the swimming benefit, which remains valid until August. This means it can also be used during the summer season at the outdoor swimming pool.
With the Youth Pass, young people can, for example, take part in sports activities, enjoy cultural experiences, and learn new skills through the city’s various services. Many of the city’s youth events are free of charge for Youth Pass holders. In addition, private companies participate in the Youth Pass programme by offering excellent benefits for young people.
