Welcome to the multilingual evening for residents!

For the very first time, city of Pori organizes a multilingual evening for residents on April 11th. The city invites especially all multilingual residents to join us for an evening of discussion and engagement on current topics. The evening will be held in Finnish, and interpretation is available in English, Russian, Arabic, and Dari.

The topics of the evening include International House Pori, daycare and schools, adult education courses at the civic center, Ohjaamo services for youth, and leisure activities. In addition, Red Cross Pori and The Multicultural Association of Satakunta are present to introduce and discuss the possibilities different associations offer for residents.

– Our hope is to have a diverse group of multilingual residents participating. We want not only to spread information about available services but above all, to hear participants’ wishes and thoughts on how to develop the services, and to answer questions, encourage city’s participation specialists Elli-Mari Sulonen and Alina Isoviita.

Previously, the city of Pori has organized multilingual evenings for parents, but this open residents’ evening is the first of its kind.
